The verdict
With well done full-page illustrations and the colorful text, I love you very muchly was a delight to read.
Page by page, as I read Nika's true story, it made me smile, laugh and make the rare 'aww' sound as I found myself falling in love with the adorable little Shih-Tzu. It's a heartwarming story about pets, family, loving and being loved, and a highly recommended book for parents to read to their little ones.
Better still if the toddler has a Nika plushie to hold when reading along with their parents. I received a pair of these insanely cute Nika plush toys that I just don't want to stop playing with (yes, plushies turn me into a two year old instantly). They're so soft and cuddly!

Rick Marino currently lives and works jointly in Ohio and Arizona with his wife, Teresa, and two shih tzus, Nika and Marco.
His first book, “I Love You Very Muchly – The Story of the Brave Little Girl” is a true story of Nika, who was adopted when left in a crate with no one to take care of her. Nika needed the love of her new parents and the skills of the surgeons to save her life. It’s for ages 3-12 and is great as a bedtime story or for the older readers to read to themselves.
