JORD Wood Watch Review

SIDNEY SERIES Cherry & Mother Pearl

Honestly, I'm a sucker for power dressing and watches. A good watch completes and instantly adds that much needed touch of sophistication to any form of attire. I can't step out of the house without my favorite watch on, even if I'm just heading to the nearby market for groceries.

It was about a month ago, that Dan from JORD got in touch with me and we discussed about JORD's woodwatches.com and Doodles, doodles everywhere collaborating together. I hadn't really considered ever wearing a 'wooden' watch before. But of course I was over the moon when I got mine, all nicely snuggled into a beautifully carved wooden box, wrapped around a 'pillow'. I had selected the gorgeous SIDNEY SERIES Cherry & Mother Pearl

Here's a bit about the watch in their own words, "We designed our Sidney series in an effort to capture both the venturesome spirit and the quintessential styling of a modern watch wearer. The chronograph functionality is lightened by our iridescent dial and fixed crystal bezel. With a substantial case and band the Sidney is bold and reaches beyond a typical lady's sport timepiece."

The timepiece is equipped with:
  • Deployment Buckle with Push Button
  • Sapphire Crystal Face
  • Seiko Quartz Chronograph Stopwatch Movement (VD54)
  • Screw-down Crown
  • Swarovski Crystals
  • Case Width: 42mm
  • Case Thickness: 12mm
  • Lug Ends: 51mm
  • Band Length: 225mm
  • Band Thickness: 20mm - 23mm

"Each JORD watch is designed to be splash proof but is not intended for complete submergence in water. Also note that due to the nature of the wood chosen for each unique timepiece, colors and grain pattern may vary from photos."

As for me, I am irrevocably in love with this watch. No, seriously. It's really light weight and is absolutely stunning. I keep stealing glances at my wrist all day.

I also love the fact that each of these handcrafted luxury watches is actually a unique piece with it's own natural wood grain pattern and slightly different color than the others. The glass on the dial is also scratch resistant, by the way.

I would highly recommend it as a gift this father's day (happy father's day, by the way!). Or as a graduation present for friends and family. *hint* someone's graduating college pretty soon *hint*

I wanted a sports watch since I already have more feminine watches that I generally wear. This dark Sidney Series beauty turned out to be the perfect choice. Though I had my heart set on the CORA SERIES Koa and Rose Gold as well. Gorgeous, right? Which wood watch do you like? Tell me your favorites in the comments down below. Happy weekend!
