Once upon a time, there once lived two friends.
Simone Sauveterre, the blind, elderly and kind owner of a unique antique store in Peoria...and the beautiful but vain Tassina D'Emerald, an artist from New Orleans. But something unpleasant happened between them in 1976, and they haven't spoken since.
With a little black magic and an unwitting young girl, Tassina plans to resolve their secret grudge once and for all...no matter what the cost. But standing in the way of her agenda is a recently deceased occultist, a college professor, a greedy mob boss, a kooky blonde hippie, ghosts, mages, vampires, angels...and a very angry demon who isn't happy at all with what's going on.

About the author

He’s far less interesting than the characters in his books, but his daughter thinks he’s a tireless super-hero fueled by chocolate and soda----so that’s okay. His wife just wants to know how he wore out the letter “A” on his brand new laptop keyboard.
He’s had a short story included in the FANTASY-FACTION ANTHOLOGY, and he’s written a few graphic novels, including THE ADVENTURERS: Volumes 1, 2 and 3 and SADIE McSNATCH and OTHER LADIES OF QUESTIONABLE CHARACTER. His next novel, THE KING’S TOURNAMENT, is coming soon from Divertir Press.
He and his family live in Chicago, Illinois.
