Happy Women's Day everyone! It's been a while since my last outfit post, hasn't it? Life is so hectic these days. But I promise to post more often (also, gear up for crazy giveaways I'm planning for the coming months!).
I saw this gorgeous satin & lace dress on SheIn a little while ago and it was instant love. I just HAD to get this. I know I probably won't get a lot of occasions to wear this outfit anytime soon, but... oh well, everyone's allowed a treat once a while!
I ordered a size M this time, but I think you'll be able to tell from the above picture that it's torso is still a little big on me. I'm fine with taking it in a couple of inches. Other than that, it is so so lovely! The black portion of the dress (or lining here) is made of really good quality satin fabric, covered with the layer of this beautiful white crocheted lace.
One of the occupational hazards of being an architect is of course, scrutinizing everything. I do tend to nitpick a lot. But here, the stitching, overall quality, design and I guess everything about this dress is perfect. I rarely say this about anything. I especially love how neatly the lace ends at the lower part of the skirt, letting the soft black satin add contrast to the dress and complement it too!
